Sneaker Cops of 2020

Hi there! Welcome. I am back with a new video. It’s been a few years since I’ve uploaded. I fell out of filming videos after I started working a full time job. Due to the pandemic, I began working from home and now that we are into a brand new year, I thought I would use this time being at home to start creating videos again as well as updating this blog.

For my first video of 2021, I put together a recap of the sneakers I copped in 2020. 

Ever since middle school, I've discovered a whole new culture for sneakers. It was the time when I became more conscious of how I looked and what I wore. I was envious of the kids that had cool kicks. It was always an admiration as I could not afford to buy and collect any. I remember I saved some money to purchase my first pair of cool Nikes, which were a pair of low top light blue and white Nike Dunks. They were my favorite shoes and I wore them almost everyday. I also had hand me down Jordan's, but never my own new pairs. Now that I make my own money, I can finally purchase the sneakers that I loved and wanted. 

2020 had so much incredible sneaker releases.  I attempted to get as much as I could (because I deserve it and need to cheer myself up due to these COVID times). Although I took more L's than W's, I was able to get 8 pairs of sneakers:

UNC to CHI 1's - Such a dope shoe. I wasn't sure about the colorway at first since the blue and red are so different, but after receiving it in hand, it's so clean. 

Flint 13's - One of my holy grails. Loved these since middle school and was so excited and determined to get these when they released in 2020. And success! I was able to cop these. A must have in my collection.

Tie Dye 1's - Love the 1's silhouette, love tie dye and love these colors. Tie dye 1's are my favorites in a shoe so, this is one of my favorites for the year. 

Fire Red 4's - A lucky shock drop cop. A pair that is essential to the 4's collection. I remember when these came out when I was in middle school, and so many kids rocked these and yes, I was super jealous lol. Now, I finally have a pair! woot. Better late than never :)

Jubilee 11's - Such a clean pair of shoes. I couldn't go to sleep one night and was searching what shoes to get next and I stumbled upon these on Foot Locker. Luckily, they were still available in my size. At first, I passed on these through SNKRS, but it might have been fate to cop these. I'm really glad I did. I love me some 11's.

Nike Blazer Low '77 - Nike Blazers were my thing in high school. When I figured I needed new low top shoes, I had to get these! A perfect pair to throw on whenever. Easy to put on and comfy too.

Nike Dunk Low Disrupt - More low tops shoes for me to throw on. I thought these were pretty cool. And more dunks are coming out these days so time to up my dunks game.

Fire Red Denim 3's - I felt like I needed more shoes for my 2020 collection. I was feeling ambitious in getting another pair before the year ends and I found these were available in my size on Foot Locker. I had to cop them quick. I haven't had any 3's yet, so these are pretty sick.

Nioxin System Kit 1 - Natural Hair with Light Thinning

My first impression when applying the product was the smell was healthy, like medicine. Definitely doesn't have the scent of a normal shampoo and conditioner. The product felt light. I think the shampoo and conditioner are great so far. Helps my thin hair feel a little fuller. The scalp treatment had a tingle feel to it, almost stinging. Overall, I have high hopes for these products. I'm hoping my hair can feel a little thicker and stronger. I'm feeling inspired to have beautiful healthy hair.

Loving this mask so far! I’ve used it a few times and my hair feels so soft and sleek. My hair doesn’t tangle after washing it. It’s so easy to comb thru my hair. Def would recommend!

Not sure if I saw any results with the trial. 10 days probably isn't enough for me. The pill were big but not too hard to swallow.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Accomplice Concealer VoxBox

Influenster knows what's up. I was in need of a new concealer and I was lucky enough to be selected to try out Marc Jacobs new concealer. I was so stoked for this! I received the shade in light 20. Nice packaging. So sleek and chic. On my first application for my morning work routine, I was amazed at how smooth and buttery it felt. I can't believe it's not butter. I use concealer mostly under my eyes for my heavy dark circles. Though, it doesn't cover up my dark circles completely, it does help brighten my eyes. I would recommend using this after applying primer and using a good sponge or brush to blend it out. It does blend easily, but make sure to blend it evenly~ I've been using this everyday since I received it. I think it's safe to say that I love this product!

Year of You VoxBox

KISS LASH COUTURE TRIPLE PUSH UP COLLECTION 'BUSTIER': First off, I am glad that I received new lashes to test out. When I got my voxbox and saw how Bustier looked, I was nervous as it seemed too dramatic for me. I tend to go for more natural styled lashes. I noticed how thick the band was. I have not tried lashes with the band as thick as these before. I had some trouble applying it at first, but when I finally got it on, I love how it felt. It was comfortable and lightweight. The lashes are soft as well. Since the band was thick, I did not apply any eyeliner, which made these dramatic lashes appear a bit more natural. Adhesive glue was also included with this pair. When I lightly pulled on the lashes while they were on, the hold was very strong, so there's no worries about them falling off. But when it was time to remove the lashes, it was a pain since it was on so well! Felt like it ripped my actual lashes off though... Overall, pretty great quality lashes. These lashes have two layers, criss-cross lashes on top with a curve and a straight lashes on the bottom that are longer. These are quite affordable too, so no doubt I'll be trying out the other styles of Kiss Lashes.

GOLD BOND ULTIMATE OVERNIGHT: This helps keep my skin feeling moisturized throughout the night and the morning after. I like to use it after I shower at night. Great lotion to apply before bed. The scent is aromatic, very calming. The formula is thin and smoothens into my skin easily. My skin doesn't feel sticky nor greasy. Overall, my skin definitely looks and feels rejuvenated.

CLASSICO ORGANIC SAUCE, TOMATO & BASIL: I threw some random ingredients together and whipped up some tortellini. The taste of the sauce was so fresh, especially the basil, it definitely brought the whole dish together. If I ever see this at the store, I will get this for my next pasta dish because it was so delicious!

SUAVE DRY SPRAY, POWDER: So simple and easy to apply. Just a quick spray can make a huge difference and provides great protection for wetness and odor for the day. The smell is nice and dries quickly. It doesn't feel like I have anything on. Doesn't feel greasy or sticky. Great product!

Krusteaz VoxBox

To start off, I never make pancakes or waffles. When I received this voxbox, I was excited to try it out. Of course, making the batter was a breeze. Just add water! I made pancakes since I don't have a waffle maker. Scooping it onto the pan was a disaster for me! The instructions say the batter is suppose to be thick. I wasn't sure how much to portion out onto the pan to make a good pancake. It was hard to flip too! But that didn't take away from the product itself. The results turned out to be just fine! The taste was there and adding the toppings was fun. This didn't taste like your normal ihop breakfast pancakes. It was not sweet as expected, but more packed and rich in protein and fiber which is a great source for breakfast. Adding syrup and fruits can make it taste better!
